You keep promising yourself a 9 PM cutoff. CaughtShipping holds you to it, publicly. Set a Curfew and a tiny desktop app watches your work apps. Leave Cursor open past cutoff, and you get 5 minutes of grace (or none, if you're brave); then your fall lands on the public Blotter: streak reset, timestamp, roast. Keep your word and climb the Wall of Rest. Two emergency overrides a month for real life. It only ever sees app names, never your code. Free on macOS and Windows.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Mihai, and I built CaughtShipping because I kept telling myself "one more commit" at 11 PM and believing it. The idea is simple: you set a Curfew. A tiny desktop app watches your work apps (Cursor, VS Code, terminal, Slack, etc.). Leave one open past cutoff, you get 5 minutes of grace, then your fall goes on the public Blotter with a timestamp and a roast 🔥 Your streak resets. Keep your word, and you climb the Wall of Rest instead. It never blocks anything. No force-quit, no screen lock. It just tells on you. Turns out that's enough. 🔒 Privacy: it only ever sees app names and timing. Never window titles, file names, URLs, keystrokes, or screenshots. Your code stays yours. This is a relaunch. Since the first version shipped, a lot has changed: 🪟 Windows support (macOS 12+ and Windows 10/11, both auto-update) 🎨 Full redesign, light by default with a proper night mode 🆘 Two emergency overrides and four pause nights a month, because real life happens 📊 A new Reports window 💳 Rested ($7/mo or $60/yr): all-day per-app tracking, weekly Rest Report Card, a README badge, and one automatic pardon a month for that first slip Getting caught is free and stays free. Rested just adds the receipts. I'd love to hear two things from you: 1. What time is your cutoff supposed to be, and what time is it actually? 2. Which app do you want watched that we don't cover yet? I'll be here all day answering questions. Probably past my own curfew, which the Blotter will confirm 😅
