CatchUI turns interface screenshots into UI vocabulary lessons. It identifies recognizable patterns, shows where they appear, and links each result to a curated card with the proper name, purpose, tradeoffs, and when-not-to-use guidance. Save useful cards to your Library and review them with spaced repetition. Built for design students, career-switchers, PMs, and developers; bilingual in English and Chinese. Model-assisted recognition may occasionally be wrong—the catalog content is curated.
Hey Product Hunt — I built CatchUI because I kept having the same gap: I could recognize a useful interface pattern without knowing what to call it.
The first version was a searchable catalog. The product clicked when I connected that catalog to screenshots: upload an interface, identify recognizable patterns, then save the useful ones as cards and review them until the vocabulary sticks.
It’s aimed at design students, career-switchers, PMs, and developers who are tired of saying “the thing that slides up from the bottom.”
A few honest notes:
• You can try a sample without signing up.
• Real scans use model-assisted recognition, so occasional mistakes are possible.
• The 28-pattern catalog and teaching content are curated by hand.
• CatchUI is fully bilingual in English and Chinese.
I’d especially value feedback on two things: does the scan-to-card flow teach you something useful, and is “build your UI vocabulary” the right framing?
