Catalyst
Find exactly where you lose marks on India's MBA exam
CAT is India's MBA entrance exam, taken by 3 lakh+ students a year. Catalyst lets you attempt actual past CAT papers in a real-exam interface, then breaks down where you lose marks by section, topic and time, so you know what to fix next.
Hey Everyone
I'm Sharan, an engineer from India. Catalyst is a side project I built for CAT, India's MBA entrance exam (~3 lakh students every year).
The problem: most aspirants solve thousands of questions and take 30+ mocks, yet their percentile barely moves. Not because they aren't working hard, but because they don't know where they're actually losing marks.
What Catalyst does:
• Actual past CAT papers in an interface that mirrors the real exam
• Analytics on every attempt: section, topic and time spent per question
• One-click AI prompts for any question, so you can get a step-by-step explanation in your AI chatbot of choice

Catalyst was hunted by Sharan Shetty. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
