Catadoc reads your documents on your phone. Point the camera at a receipt, invoice, passport or contract and a few seconds later you have the useful parts: who it's from, what it cost, when it runs out. Search the way you speak ("bills under 2000"). Fix a wrong value once and it sticks. Merge documents into one PDF under a portal's size cap. Everything happens on the device and there is no account. One payment, not a subscription.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Saurabh, and I built Catadoc because I could never find a receipt when I needed it. Scanner apps solve the wrong problem. They give you a photo with a filename, and to make sense of it most of them upload your documents to a server. So your passport sits in someone's cloud and you still can't answer "what did that repair cost last year". Catadoc does the reading on the phone. It works out who a document is from, what it cost, when it expires, and files it. You search the way you'd say it out loud. When it reads something wrong, you tap the value and pick the right one off the scan, and that correction sticks for the next document from the same shop. When a visa portal wants your papers as one PDF under 2 MB, it makes that too, without a "merge PDF online" site. It's a one-time purchase with a 3-day trial. No subscription, no account. I'd genuinely like to know: what document did it read badly? That feedback has driven every fix in the beta so far.

Hey Saurabh, this looks like a very good app and the UI is also very clean.. but could you please explain the core concept behind developing this app ?

As an end user, I already have apps like Adobe scan or notes where I can keep my documents or notes.. how will this app save my time and provide better user experience?
