Cast I Ching is a free, no-sign-up web oracle. Cast with three coins or 50 yarrow stalks, read focused Wilhelm-Baynes text, and explore what we believe is the first complete online edition of Bradford Hatcher's translation with linked Chinese word chains.

Hi Product Hunt - I built Cast I Ching to make a complete, careful I Ching practice available in the browser. Many digital versions reduce the experience to an instant random answer, or place generated advice between the reader and the original text. I wanted to preserve the parts that make the practice meaningful: forming a clear question, casting each line, and sitting with a focused classical reading. You can use the familiar three-coin method or work through an interactive recreation of the traditional 50-stalk yarrow ritual. The result applies Zhu Xi's moving-line rules to show which text deserves attention, alongside the Wilhelm-Baynes translation. The site also includes what I believe is the first complete online edition of Bradford Hatcher's translation. Hatcher's distinctive contribution is not only the English rendering: his matrix organizes the Chinese text character by character and links repeated words across the canon, so readers can follow how a term changes through the full Book of Changes. Cast I Ching is free and requires no account. Reading history stays in your browser unless you choose to share or email a result. I would especially value feedback on two things: whether the casting flow feels clear to someone new to the I Ching, and whether the result page gives enough guidance without getting between you and the source text. Thanks for taking a look.

Cast I Ching was hunted by jack zhuo. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
