Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Ali, a Software Engineer and an iOS & macOS Developer, and the maker of CaskHub. I've always wished there was an easy way to see what Homebrew casks were added recently and what people are actually installing. But Homebrew was never built to help you discover apps - it's a package manager. So I built the missing layer. CaskHub sits on top of your existing Homebrew install and gives it a storefront: - Top Charts - Most-installed casks over 30 / 90 / 365 days. Finally, real signal. - Recently added - What's new in Homebrew casks - Curated shelves - Browse by category with the original actual app icons - Adopt Apps - Pulls apps you installed by hand into Homebrew's management - Smart update detection - Skips apps that already update themselves - One-click actions - Install / update / uninstall, and adopt without CLI The part I care most about: It's a front-end, not a takeover. It uses your existing Homebrew, and anything you do in CaskHub, brew list sees. Stop using it tomorrow and nothing breaks. The other reason I built it: There are a lot of good indie Mac apps buried in Homebrew that nobody discovers. I'd like this to be a place they get found. Free, MIT licensed, no ads, no subscription, no premium tier. macOS 15+. I use it daily but it's still young. What would you want it to do that it doesn't? I'll be here all day to answer any questions.

Who hunted CaskHub?

CaskHub was hunted by Ali Elsokary. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
