I'm Takahiro — an automotive ADAS engineer by day, indie developer by night.
When I started learning AI, CARte was the very first thing I wanted to build. Here's why:
Last year I bought my first used car. For me it was fun — I love cars. But I kept thinking: for someone who doesn't, this process is brutal. Too many listings, no clear way to judge quality, and a dealer waiting on the other end who knows far more than you do.
The information asymmetry is the real problem. CARte exists to close that gap — giving anyone a data-driven second opinion before they ever walk into a dealership.
A few things I built that I'm proud of:
— Cross-platform neutral scoring (works across competing listing sites)
— JNCAP safety test integration (Japan's official crash test database)
— AI-powered comparison for your final 2–3 candidates
— Full English support for international residents navigating Japan's used car market
One honest caveat: CARte is built specifically for Japan's used car market. If you're outside Japan, you won't be able to test it directly.
But I believe the problem is universal.
