CareUEyes is a multi-functional eye protection software. It can adjust brightness and color temperature, automatically darken windows, and provide timed reminders to encourage users to take breaks and prevent health problems caused by prolonged computer use.
My name is Alisen, and I'm a newcomer to Product Hunt. The story of CareUEyes begins in 2017, when my eyesight was severely damaged. At night, my eyes would feel dry, itchy and painful, and I had to force myself to take regular breaks. I installed several eye protection software programs like f.lux, Workrave and Iris, which provided temporary relief to my vision problems. However, I needed more customized features to meet my specific needs.
So, in my spare time, I started developing CareUEyes. I released the first version in June 2017, which was simple but met all of my requirements based on my own needs. Whenever I had a good idea, I would discuss it with other CareUEyes users to ensure that it was useful for us. It was a very interesting process, and it felt wonderful when what we discussed was implemented in the next version, like giving birth to a child.
As the number of users increased, more and more features were added. I could no longer do everything myself, so I started working full-time on CareUEyes and invited my partners to join the project.
During the development of CareUEyes, there were many doubters who opposed our fees. They questioned why CareUEyes, a software that adjusts brightness, should be charged when Windows 10's Night Light is free. They also asked why f.lux is free and why other eye protection software programs are open source but we charge.
I explained to them that all my energy is now focused on CareUEyes. We need to make a living, and without an income source, I may stop publishing updates and have to find new work. Additionally, for those who cannot afford CareUEyes, they can choose CareUEyes Lite or other free eye protection software programs, which are also excellent.
Of course, I don't want CareUEyes to stop because many people still need it. I will continue to move forward with the project. Let's go!

i found that the app is very useful one as it manages the light come out of screen effectively so it protects my eyes from harmful blue lights, beside i found that by prolonged using of computer, i don't have headache as i have by not using the app!
Also i found that using promodoro technique is very effective to manage my time consumed.
