Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Matt. My first app was ClassyAction, which I built and exited. Cards AI is what I'm building now, and it came straight out of a problem I've had as a sports card collector for 20 years.
Here's what drove me nuts. Every card scanner app gives you a price, but none of them show you where that price comes from. You scan a card, it says "$94," and you're just supposed to trust it. Half the time the number runs way high because it's mixing in asking prices instead of actual sales. As a collector, I got tired of guessing.
So I built Cards AI to do one thing really well. When you scan a card, it pulls the real recent sold listings live, then shows you the 15 most recent comps with prices, dates, and links to each one. You can verify any number in 10 seconds instead of trusting a black box.
It also does AI condition grading, but I'm honestly no AI grade is a real. It's a pre screen to help you decide if a card is worth sending to PSA, not a replacement for it.
Stack is React Native and Expo, Gemini for card identification, live sold price data, and Supabase on the backend. Built solo, shipping from New Jersey.
Would genuinely love feedback from collectors and builders here. Fire away and I'll be in the comments all day.

Who hunted Cards AI?
Cards AI was hunted by Matthew Hastings. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
