Is that car listing a scam? Scan it in 10 seconds!
CarBluff scans a used-car listing from Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or anywhere else and returns a 0-100 trust score in seconds, checking 20+ known scam patterns: deposit-before-viewing, Zelle/wire/gift-card demands, shipping and escrow stories, below-market pricing, stolen photos, and more. On Facebook (which hides listings) you just screenshot the ad and your chat with the seller and it reads them on your device. First scan is free, no account needed.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Matt, I built CarBluff.
This started because I kept watching people get burned buying used cars online. The same scam over and over: a price that's too good, a seller who "can't meet" and needs a deposit or a shipping fee first, usually by Zelle or gift card. The car never existed. My friends and family kept sending me listings asking "is this real?" and I'd run the same mental checklist every time.
So I turned that checklist into a tool. Paste a listing (or on Facebook, just screenshot it and your chat with the seller) and CarBluff gives you a 0-100 trust score with every red flag explained in plain language. It reads screenshots right on your device, nothing gets uploaded. First scan is free.
It won't certify a car sight-unseen, no tool can. What it does is catch the patterns that give a scam away before you drive out or send a dime. I'd genuinely love your feedback, especially on the scam checks. What did I miss?
