Capture is the perfect minimalistic tool for Devs and PMs to communicate visually. Built to be quick, native, and out of the way. Has arrows, text, blur, crop, rectangle and ellipse.
I miss Evernote’s now-discontinued Skitch! I used to copy the executable from one laptop to the next but I started getting too many “unsupported by new version of OS” warnings. So I decided to take the matters into my own hands. This is the app, source will soon be opened (MIT). I just need to clean up the code a bit, ETA late July.
It is really good. Just tried it with a screenshot. One minor nit: It will be great if we can save the image in-place without exporting.
Love how snappy the native feel is, especially the crop and blur being right there without digging through menus. This actually fits how devs and PMs think when they just need to point at something quickly.
Does it work well for recording short screen captures too, or is it strictly for annotating existing screenshots? Also curious how pricing looks once you outgrow the free tier.

Capture was hunted by Sahand Sojoodi. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
