Canaveral is an AI-native estimating platform for the mechanical & HVAC trades. Our proprietary computer vision models read construction plans and extract equipment quantities, saving hours on bids. Cooper, our AI assistant, answers estimators questions in natural language. Our browser-based solution means better accessibility, performance, and update cadence than legacy incumbents in the mechanical estimating space. Its about time estimating software got good.
I was watching my friend who is an experienced estimator work in his existing legacy tools. The tracing, plopping, counting, and housekeeping work all were painfully slow. I realized it was time construction estimators had access to software that was fast, accurate, and didn't require thousands of dollars for weeks of training. We first set out to make the best manual takeoff and estimation tool for mechanical estimators. Then we built a robust AI layer on top of it (always human-centric and with guardrails for accuracy), giving estimators tailwinds in their work that they haven't had access to their entire careers.

Who hunted Canaveral?
Canaveral was hunted by Austen Payan. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
