CamLoop
Loop yourself on camera so you can step away mid-call
A macOS menu-bar app for people who live on video calls. Record a few seconds of yourself and CamLoop loops it through a real virtual camera in Zoom, Meet, Teams, Slack, FaceTime or OBS. One hotkey swaps your live feed for the loop, so you can rest your eyes or step away for a minute without becoming the dark tile people ask about. It only swaps the camera, your audio passes through, and clips stay on your Mac, never uploaded. It's a real system camera, not a screen-share hack.
CamLoop fixes a small daily annoyance: on camera-heavy days there's no graceful way to take even a 30-second break. Cut your camera and you're the one dark tile everyone glances at, and someone asks if you're ok, so you sit there frozen instead.
It records a few seconds of you and loops that through a real virtual camera you pick in Zoom, Meet, Teams, Slack, FaceTime or OBS. A hotkey swaps your live feed for the loop and back. It only ever changes the camera. Your mic and the call audio pass straight through, so you still hear everything and can jump in the second you're needed.
It's a genuine macOS camera extension (not a screen-share hack), everything stays on your Mac, and the loop has subtle stutters so a frozen frame doesn't give it away. macOS 14+, free tier is one 10s clip, Pro is $4.99/mo or $49 lifetime.
For PH: use LAUNCH for a free first month of Pro (no card), first 150 people, through June 24. Built this solo, so I'd love your feedback. What would make it a no-brainer for your setup?
