I built CadPeek because CAD files still get emailed to people who can’t open them.
Every week I see the same loop: a contractor sends a DWG shop drawing, the client has no AutoCAD, someone screenshots a PDF, and version chaos starts. AutoCAD is $250+/month per seat; “free viewers” often mean IT tickets and Windows-only installs.
CadPeek is the fix I wanted in the field:

Local-first — parsing runs in your browser unless you explicitly share a link
Real workflows — measure on live geometry (not scaled PDFs), search device tags, batch-rename layers, export text to Excel, redline with arrows/notes and PNG export
We’re especially useful for MEP, fire protection, and shop drawing review, but it works for general architectural plans too.

Layer filter presets would be a huge time saver on big drawing sets, letting you save common combinations like "structural only" or "MEP + existing" and switch with one click instead of toggling each layer manually every time.
