I'm Nikhil, the creator of Cadence.
I built Cadence because I still keep a large local music collection and couldn't find a modern desktop music player that felt polished while remaining lightweight.
Most traditional music players felt outdated, while many modern solutions focused entirely on streaming services.
Cadence is my attempt to combine a premium interface with local music playback. It includes album artwork, lyrics, playlists, artist and album organization, listening statistics, Last.fm integration, and more.
The app is built using Tauri, Rust, React, and TypeScript.
This is the first public release (v1.0.0), and I'd love to hear feedback, feature requests, and ideas for future updates.
