found caddy through the yc f25 batch and keep coming back to it. most assistants wait for a prompt - caddy texts you first when something actually needs you, right inside a normal imessage thread. no app to install, drafts replies in your own voice, asks before touching anything sensitive. the text-first assistant category is getting crowded fast (town, pally, ollie all popped up recently) and this is one of the more thoughtful takes i've seen. not affiliated, just following the space. curious what people think

Comment highlights

adding some specifics since the tagline is short: caddy lives in a normal imessage thread (sms/rcs on android) - no separate app to check. it watches your calendar, inbox and reminders and texts you first when something actually needs attention. you can drop it into a group chat to coordinate plans, send it a voice memo and it turns it into tasks, and it drafts replies in your own voice but always asks before sending or changing anything. that asks-first bit is what sold me - most agents in this space just do things and hope for the best
