Maker here — and I'll be upfront: ByStory is in Alpha, and I'm here to find out if I'm building the right thing.
It started from pure frustration. I wanted to turn a story idea into a short series, with no budget for a crew, cast, or editing suite. Doing it with AI was miserable — I'd write a
prompt in one tool, generate a frame in another, animate it in a third, score it in a fourth, then try to stitch it together. And my characters looked like a different person in every
shot.
So I started building the thing.
ByStory turns one story idea into a drama series — script, a consistent cast, shot-by-shot video, and music. The whole chain — prompt → image → video — lives in one workspace, with Veo, Seedance, Wan, and Kling on tap. It's powered by Claude for the writing and the pipeline that breaks your story into shots.
It's early. Some things are rough, and that's exactly why I'm launching now — I'd rather validate the idea with real creators than polish in a vacuum.
So I genuinely want to know:
- Is this a problem you actually have?
- What would make it a tool you'd reach for, not just try once?
- What's broken or confusing when you use it?
