I built Buyer Thoughts because Amazon's star ratings tell you what people thought after they bought something — but I wanted a faster signal for *before*: would other shoppers actually buy this, is the price fair, does the listing look legit? Three quick, anonymous questions, answered in one click, right on the product page.
A few things I cared about getting right:
- No account, ever — votes are anonymous and can't be traced back to you
- Brand-new products never show a dead "0 votes" — they get a clearly labeled estimate from Amazon's own rating instead
- It only touches amazon.com/amazon.in product pages — nothing else, no broad browsing permissions
