Buy me a Walkman
A little cassette and CD player, right in your browser
Turn listening into a small ritual: pull out a tape, load it, flip sides, or switch to a CD. Buy me a Walkman offers two cassette players and one CD player in your browser. Try original demo tracks, then add your own local audio.
Hi Product Hunt! I’m the maker of Buy me a Walkman.
It’s a browser music player built around the little actions of physical listening: choosing a cassette from a rack, loading it into a player, flipping sides, and switching CDs. There are two cassette players and one CD player to explore.
Start with the original demo tracks, or import audio files your browser supports. Local files stay on your device; you’ll need to select them again after reloading.
The player also has connections for your own NetEase Cloud Music and Apple Music accounts. Playback depends on each service’s authorization, subscription, track availability, and region. The English guide explains these limits and how to get started.
No physical hardware is needed. Open the site and try it in your browser. I’d love feedback on how the players feel to use, and which small details make listening more enjoyable.
