I'm TJ. My girlfriend and I built Burrow.
It started after we moved in together. She'd been tracking chores in Sweepy and had a list of things she wanted to work differently, and since she's a PM she just wrote me a PRD. So we built our own.
The friction between us was never about caring. We clean differently. I do a couple of things a day so nothing piles up, she does a big clean on the weekend. Both work, but neither of us could see the other's effort, and that's the part that quietly stacks up. It was a coordination problem, not a relationship one.
Every app we tried leaned on streaks and scoreboards, which made cleaning feel competitive in the wrong way. We wanted the opposite: just make the effort visible so it doesn't go unnoticed. That's the whole idea. You see what's been done across your real rooms, harder chores are worth more points, and the home's progress is right there without anyone having to ask.
The newest piece is Tidy. Some days you don't want to manage anything, you just want the mess gone. You tell it how long you've got, it picks the chores, and you race the ring. Solo or together. It's the thing we both reach for most now.
