I built Buildcheck because I kept having the same conversation with businesses - they'd describe a workflow they wanted to automate and we'd spend twenty minutes figuring out whether they actually needed to build something or whether a decent prompt would do the job.
The tool asks you to describe your workflow, breaks it into tasks, and has you rate each one on time, frequency and how repetitive it is. From that it tells you whether to build a custom app, set up an AI agent, create a prompt template, or just use a chatbot. You also get starter prompts for each task and a time saved estimate.
