BudgetBuddy is a free, no-subscription budgeting web app with everything paid apps charge for. Track income and expenses, set budget envelopes, create savings goals, and visualize your spending with charts — all saved to your account and accessible on any device. No ads. No paywalls. Just budgeting.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Adam, the solo developer behind BudgetBuddy.
I built this because I kept seeing people pay $10–15/month for budgeting apps when budgeting is literally about spending less money. That felt wrong to me, so I built my own.
BudgetBuddy has everything you'd expect from a paid app — expense tracking, envelope budgeting, savings goals, charts, multi-currency support, dark mode and a monthly summary table with expense breakdowns. It's a single HTML file, works on any device, and your data is securely saved to your account.
It's completely free. No subscription, no ads. There's an optional Patreon if you want to support it, but absolutely no pressure.
Would love any feedback from the PH community — what features would make this genuinely useful for you? 🙏
Hey Product Hunt community! I'm a student developer and I've built this entirely on a $0 budget using GitHub Pages. If you find value in the tool, I have two goals:
$20 to move us to a custom domain.
$100 to bring this to your pocket as a native iOS app.
Every upvote and donation helps me prove to my family (and myself!) that this is a tool worth growing. Thank you, and if you have any questions or requests, please feel free to drop them in the comments!
