Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built Brief because I kept sending things like "just handle it nicely" to my team and getting back work that missed what I actually meant — then having to redo the whole exchange. The problem wasn't laziness on either side. Vague instructions look complete in the moment, but leave out just enough (what counts as done, by when, how much) that two people fill the gaps differently. Brief runs your instruction through a 5W2H diagnosis, points out exactly what's missing, and rewrites it into something anyone would read the same way — then you copy it straight into whatever chat/email you already use. Early versions tried to be a full task-management app, but that added friction nobody wanted for a "before you hit send" moment — so I stripped it down to: paste, diagnose, copy. No signup needed, try it here: app.briefos.jp/try Would love feedback, especially on the tone-conversion feature that softens urgent/blunt phrasing without losing the original intent.

Who hunted Brief?

Brief was hunted by Ryo Hidaka. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
