I edit on a flat fee basis for most clients, and the problem is you never actually know your real hourly rate until the job's done and you add up the hours, by then it's too late to do anything about it.
So I built BreakEven, it runs inside DaVinci Resolve and shows your effective hourly rate live while you work: fee ÷ hours tracked, updating every second. Set a target rate, and it warns you at 80% of the fee, then turns red past break even with the exact overage in dollars, instead of finding out the night before delivery.
It also tracks time per Resolve page automatically, tags client revisions so you can see what "one more round" costs, and has a quote helper for pricing your next job. Everything stays local, no account, no cloud.
This is my first real launch, so genuinely looking for feedback.
