Brainy
Open-source, learning app built around spaced repetition
Brainy is a powerful active learning app combining notebook-style notes, flashcards, and the FSRS spaced repetition algorithm. Generate AI-powered study cards, sync across devices, and remember more — effortlessly.
For the last two years, I have worked on this app on my own, where the vision is to take existing apps and improve them.
The main app that inspired this is Anki, and I have now 1741 days in a streak. When I used Anki, I have always found many weaknesses, the main ones are:
The need to open history to look at what you have added before
The complex UI
The missing AI integration
The need to download many add-ons
Brainy, which is the app that I have developed, tries to solve many of the problems. It has a notebook style where you have all the flashcards in the same place, no need to go back and forth. It has a modern, simple UI. And it does have AI integration.
You can already download the app from the GitHub release page. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Brainy was hunted by Rami Alkawadri. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
