Most productivity tools assume your bottleneck is organisation. But for many (including ADHD), traditional planning is a trap that triggers analysis paralysis. Brain Battler abandons the "list" altogether. Instead of prioritising, it uses a tournament bracket system. Tasks duel in simple, binary choices (A vs. B) until one "Champion" remains. You are then locked in with a visual picture for your task and focus sounds. We gamify decision fatigue to trick your brain into starting.

Hey everyone! 👋 Like many of you, I have an endless graveyard of abandoned productivity systems. I realised my problem wasn't a lack of organization; it was the friction of task initiation. When I look at a list of 12 things to do, my brain freezes trying to optimize the perfect order or the time allocation for those tasks. That analysis paralysis eventually turns into a sense of failure, and I end up doing nothing. Brain Battler is my attempt to bypass that feeling entirely by making starting easier than thinking about starting. Here are the features that make it work: 🎙️ Voice Dump: Speak your thoughts directly into the app, and it instantly parses them into individual task cards, removing the friction of manual entry. ⚔️ The Bracket (Duels): Rather than scanning a list, you see just two tasks. You pick the one you’d rather do right now. The winner advances until only one "Champion" remains. 🎲 Chaos Mode: If you still freeze deciding between two dueling tasks, hold the "Chaos" button and the app forces a random choice for you. ⏳ Locked-in Execution: Once a task wins, a visual photo for your task slowly drains on screen. 🎧 Focus Environments: Built-in immersive background audio (brown noise, café, library, rain) keeps you in the zone without leaving the app. There is also a "Build My Day" feature for loose sorting, but the core design deliberately avoids color-coding or complex prioritising. I would love to hear your thoughts on: The UI/UX of the "Duel" mechanic. Does forcing binary choices help reduce your own decision fatigue when you sit down to work?
