I’m excited to finally share BoxTrace with you today.
While talking to local retail shop owners and small business founders, I noticed a common problem. They wanted modern billing and inventory management, but they were uncomfortable with staff having access to buying costs and profit margins. Most POS systems expose this information, and enterprise solutions are often too expensive for small businesses.
So, we built BoxTrace to solve that.
BoxTrace is a free, cloud-synced POS web app with encrypted QR codes. Product buying costs and minimum margins are protected with AES encryption. Staff can use their own smartphones to scan items and generate bills, but they never see private financial data. Only the owner has access to the decryption key.
We also included GST-compliant PDF invoicing, offline support, and real-time profit tracking.
