BowerBird
Only what you came for. No site access at install.
I built BowerBird because every blocker I tried asked to read and change my data on all websites, at install, before it had done anything for me.
BowerBird installs without requesting access to any website. declarativeNetRequest block and allow rules are applied by the browser itself and need no host permissions. Host access is requested per-origin, on demand, only when you hide your first element on that site.
It costs real features - no header rewriting, no request redirection - so it does not out-block uBlock Origin Lite and does not claim to. If you want the most blocking, install uBlock Origin Lite. If you want the page arranged, install BowerBird. Neither conflicts with the other, and both install without asking to read every site you visit.
Free covers ad and tracker blocking and unlimited manual hiding rules. Declutter this page and Export and import your rules are Pro, $12 one-time, no subscription.
