Hi PH! 👋 Today we’re launching a new platform: ✨Bountyhub✨ BountyHub is a platform that aims to monetize issue resolution on public GitHub repositories which is a more direct way to finance contributors than donations/sponsoring. 🚨THE PROBLEM🚨 Most github repositories have issues that remain open for a long time which is due to multiple reasons such as the lack of resources or prioritization, Most developers don't have the time to browse random repositories on github to attempt fixing repositories they don't use or issues that doesn't affect them directly. 💡THE SOLUTION💡 The solution is be to put prizes on github issues to incentivize open-source contributors to fix issues even if there not directly affected by the issue. This could also be a way for open source repositories to attract more contributors and for the repository maintainers to earn money contributing to their own repositories. 🎯WHY IT MATTERS🎯 Most if not all software companies rely on open source technologies to produce a better product, and sometimes these open source technologies might have bugs or missing featurs that can block the company's productivity. 🙏FEEDBACK🙏 We love feedback! Please give it a go, and let us know what you think in the comment

This is a creative way to motivate developers to work on open issues. It could really help solve those lower-priority bugs that end up staying open for too long.

Huge congrats to the BountyHub team on today's launch! I love how you're incentivizing open-source contributions - who doesn't want to get paid for solving pesky GitHub issues? Here's a quick question: Are there plans to integrate BountyHub with other popular dev platforms beyond GitHub, or is the focus solely on the GitHub ecosystem for now?

Very cool idea! Technically, I could plug in my "Devin" to hunt for bounties even, right? DO you envision becoming a marketplace of Developer Agents.

It's be amazing to see some way to pool funds for a bounty form multiple contributors, like a “community bounty” for high-demand issues.

Congrats on your launch! Seems like a very good approach, also to incentivise the community to solve bigger problems

Congratulations @omar_soufiane to the team on launching BountyHub! This is a fantastic platform for developers to earn money by solving GitHub issues. It’s great that it promotes open-source contributions with secure payments and dispute resolution. My minor query is about the ease of use for beginners.

Love the concept! This really brings practical value to open-source work. Excited to try it!

cool idea! I'm wondering how you make sure people pay if the issue has been properly resolved? Or what you do if it's a partial solution? Congrats on the launch! 🚀

This is such a smart take on open source sustainability! 🎯 Been dealing with stale issues in some critical dependencies lately, and throwing money at GitHub sponsors feels like shooting in the dark. Love how BountyHub lets us put our money exactly where our pain points are - might actually get our blockers fixed faster now. The dispute resolution system is a nice touch too, makes it feel way safer than informal bounty offers in issue comments. 💪
