Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Bounce Connect because using Android with a Mac always felt… broken.
Existing tools were either unreliable, slow, or required sending your data through the cloud — which didn’t feel right.
So I built something different:
→ Fully local (no cloud)
→ Fast file transfers (even large files)
→ Reply to messages from your Mac (with dual SIM support)
→ Take, mute, or manage calls (including WhatsApp)
→ Smart Wi-Fi Lock (Lock connection to specific wifi so it can save battery on other networks)
→ Built natively for macOS (not a port)
→ Notification sync (clear on mac automatically clears on android too)
The goal was simple: make Android + Mac feel like one system.
Would love your feedback — what’s the most annoying part of using Android with a Mac for you?
Just to clarify one thing since a few people asked about calling.
Right now, you can view, make, answer, mute and manage calls from your Mac, but you can’t talk directly through the Mac. This is mainly due to Android system limitations around call audio access.
We’ve focused on making syncing, notifications, and reliability solid first, and that’s been the priority so far.
Wanted to be transparent about it
Honestly didn’t expect this kind of traction today. Really appreciate everyone checking it out and leaving thoughtful comments, it means a lot as an indie developer building this without a team.
users are reporting they are loving the wifi lock battery saving, and file transfer speeds.
Still learning a lot from all the feedback here, many features coming soon in the future.
this is actually nice tbh. using android with a mac always feels like you’re patching things together with random tools, so having one local app for all this makes a lot of sense. the universal clipboard and whatsapp call handling part especially caught my eye.
curious, what do users end up loving most once they start using it day to day?
This is a really relatable problem. Android and Mac can work together, but it never feels as smooth as it should, so having messaging, calls, files, and notifications all handled locally is a strong pitch. The no-cloud part makes it even more appealing.
Curious, what feature ends up being the one that makes people stick with it first, messaging, file transfer, or notifications?
The "fully local, no cloud" angle is the real differentiator here — most sync tools become a privacy liability. Curious how the file transfer handles large media (videos, RAW photos)? Speed and reliability on that is usually where these tools live or die for power users.
