I'm Adiel. The reason I built Botable is honestly kind of personal.
A few years ago I wanted a Telegram bot that would track my crypto
portfolio and ping me when something moved. Sounds simple. It wasn't.
First I tried to build it myself. I'm not a complete beginner, but I
fell down a multi-day hole figuring out Telegram's Bot API, webhooks
vs polling, where to host it so it wouldn't die overnight, how to
store state, how to handle the "/price BTC" command without it breaking
on weird inputs. I gave up.
Then I did what most people do. I went and found a developer. They
quoted me $300–$400 for what felt like a 2-hour job. I paid. Then I
waited. Then there were "small things" - "actually it needs a database,"
"actually the hosting will be another monthly fee," "actually that
feature you wanted needs another round." Two weeks and a few hundred
dollars later, I had a bot that mostly worked, and I was the only
human on Earth who could change anything about it.
That's the moment I realized the actual problem isn't "Telegram bots
are hard." It's "the path from idea to live bot is impossibly long
for anyone who isn't a developer with free time."
So Botable is what I wish I'd had that week.

What's still surprising me after building this:
— Most people's first bot is live in under 2 minutes.
— Modifying a bot by chat is somehow more addictive than building one.
People come back to tweak the same bot 3 times in a row.
— The use cases are wildly broader than "crypto tracker." Booking
systems, support bots, language tutors, group moderators, dating
bots, internal team tools.
A few things I'd genuinely love feedback on:
1. The first 60 seconds does the "describe → live bot" flow feel
clear, or is there a step that loses you?
2. Pricing - I went with credits that never expire instead of a
subscription, because that felt fairer when I think about myself
3 years ago. Does that resonate?
