We finally in the AppStore. Bookov is free app for book lovers. Read books & build a library that will be truly yours. You are the owner of your collection
Our 1.0 Version is Here!
We're excited to announce that our first release version is now available! You can install it through Apple AppStore!
We'd love to hear your feedback, ideas, criticism, and especially bug reports (there are definitely some bugs since this is a first version).
What's working and ready to test:
- Book importing (EPUB, FB2, PDF)
- Book search with metadata addition to your library
- Bookshelf creation and book organization
- Reader with customizable themes, fonts, and page layout options
- Quotes and Notes saving
- Book list export
Feel free to use and share your feedback!
Congrats on launching v1.0! The app looks clean. I get the privacy/local-first angle. Beyond that, how does Bookov differ from existing readers/library managers? From the page I read “find & add” (metadata) + “import to read,” so the core USP seems to be ownership + open export?
Finally a space where I can track, read, and manage books without depending on store apps.
Congratulations on the launch! I am glad about the updated version - I was really looking forward to the Book list export feature 🎉

Who hunted Bookov?
Bookov was hunted by Kirill Oleinichenko. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
