Bookidoro
Pick up your phone, find your book instead of a feed
Bookidoro turns the minutes you spend scrolling into pages of your book. Start Focus and your lock screen shows the countdown and the last lines you read; one tap opens your page. Deep Focus keeps the apps you choose closed and offers your book instead. Inside: 75,000+ free classics, highlights with labels and notes, shelves, streaks and a finish date for every book, and sync with Bookidoro on Mac. Free, no account. Pro adds shareable quote cards and videos.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Niko, the maker of Bookidoro.
I own a lot of books I never finished, and I spent most of my spare minutes scrolling. "I'll read when I have time" never happened.
So I built Bookidoro for my Mac first: after each work session, the next page of my book appears instead of a feed. I read about 4 books in 2 months that way without finding extra time. Today it comes to iPhone and iPad, where the scrolling actually happens.
How it works on iPhone:
• Start Focus for 10 to 60 minutes. Your lock screen shows the countdown and the last lines you read.
• Reach for your phone, tap the card, and you're back on your page. One tap, no feed.
• Deep Focus keeps the apps you choose closed and offers your book instead (Apple Screen Time; I never see which apps).
Also inside: 75,000+ free classics, highlights with labels and notes, shelves, streaks and a finish date for every book, and the same page on your Mac through your own iCloud.
Free: every reading feature, with no account and no sign-up. Bookidoro Pro ($9.99/year) adds shareable quote cards and animated quote videos for Instagram and TikTok.
I'm here all day. What's the one book you keep meaning to finish? I'd love to hear it, and any feedback on the app.
