BonsAI
A spatial board to brain-dump, refine, and prompt agents
A native Mac board where you dump half-formed ideas, then pull live context — files, GitHub, Notion, Linear, Context7 — into any card with @. It's a live graph, so agents read and refine your board the way you do. Copy the assembled prompt into any tool. Open source.
Hey PH 👋 I'm Jonatas, developer of BonsAI.
I kept hitting the same friction: I'd have an idea for a coding agent, but
phrasing it so the agent didn't go sideways meant juggling Excalidraw and
pulling context from a dozen places — a doc here, an issue there. BonsAI is
the native Mac app I built to close that gap.
What makes it click:
Capture — a board of cards where you dump half-formed ideas, no structure
required.
Connectors — type @ to pull live context into a card, fetched at copy time:
a file/folder, an open browser tab, plus Context7, GitHub, Linear, Notion,
Sentry, Figma, Xcode.
On-device linter — an invisible check (Apple's Foundation Models) quietly
underlines bits too vague for an agent to act on. Runs fully locally.
When a card's ready, copy the fully-assembled prompt into whatever tool you
drive next.
The board isn't just UI — it's a live graph, so an agent can read and refine
it the same way you do. It's open source, and I'd genuinely love your feedback (the harsh kind too).
Thanks for checking it out 🙏

Who hunted BonsAI?
BonsAI was hunted by Jonatas Walker Filho. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
