I’m Mrinal, one of the founders of Bolto (YC S23).

Bolto is an AI-powered recruiting and HR platform. We assess candidates using AI and match them to companies.

For candidates:

Candidates take our AI interview and technical assessments. We combine this info along with their resume, Github profile, and any other info they provide to create a Bolto candidate profile.

For companies:

Companies who upload or type in their job description on our platform are shown candidates that our AI algorithm believes have a high probability of success in their role based on all of their profile information. Once a company makes a hire, they can run payroll and HR on our platform as well.

Our story:

We struggled mightily with hiring at our last startup. We hated having to source, interview, hire, manage, and pay candidates all on separate platforms and wished it could all be done in one place.

We also, like many of you, have been reading articles about how AI is going to completely replace human workers. We don’t believe in this future and are deeply passionate about using AI to create jobs, not take them away. We want to help companies find the absolute best fits for their roles, empowering them to succeed and continue hiring more great humans.

Who is Bolto for?

We’re starting with software engineers on our platform, so our ideal user is anyone who is hiring engineers! That being said, we find the companies who benefit the most from our services are those who are growing and making multiple hires, but might not have the patience or budget to hire a recruiting agency or staff multiple recruiters.

How are we different?

We are the very first all in one recruiting and HR platform in the world! There is no other company that from start to finish, can handle sourcing, interviewing, hiring, paying, and managing employees.

Why are we launching on product hunt?

We got on Product Hunt ourselves a couple months ago when the CEO, Rajiv, commented on our tweet about our YC launch and said we had to try PH! We’ve found an incredible community here filled with smart, thoughtful people who take time out of their day to give invaluable product feedback.

We’ve also found some awesome products that we now use!

Hiring dev has always been a hurdle for me and having worked in technical recruitment for years I’m sure there are a ton of SMBs that could garner value from this. Curious about a few things: - do you think the personalization you’ve got will deter agencies masking as individual devs from using the platform? - will you allow dev agencies on the platform - beyond the personalization are there any other candidate screening metrics - if you’re able to elaborate that would be wonderful - Could you also elaborate on the technical assessment component. Eager to check it out and congrats again!

Been using Bolto for our startup's engineering recruitment and it's been a complete game-changer! As a tech lead who's suffered through traditional recruiting processes, this AI-powered approach is refreshingly efficient. The platform doesn't just find candidates - it actually conducts initial technical screenings and skill assessments, saving us countless hours of preliminary interviews.

The matching algorithm is impressively accurate. Instead of wading through hundreds of mismatched resumes, we're getting candidates who truly fit our tech stack and culture. The AI seems to understand both technical requirements and soft skills, which is crucial for our remote team.

Love how everything is integrated - from initial sourcing to payroll management. The $1k rebate on 6-month hires is a nice bonus, but the real value is in the time saved and quality of matches. We've hired two senior engineers through Bolto, and both are exceeding expectations.
