Hiring sucks... It always has. I've seen it firsthand as a job seeker and recruiter who was responsible for high volume technical recruiter. With the crazy amounts of demand, it's almost impossible to source, vet, verify, give feedback, and move people along the process without something falling through the cracks.
And it's also timely and costly. Job seekers are taking close to 3 months on average to find a job...companies take just as long to hire 1 person.
