Blood Typing Game
A free game to learn blood types and safe transfusions
A free, open-source game that teaches how blood types and transfusions actually work. Run the Anti-A, Anti-B and Anti-Rh tests to find each patient's blood type, pick a compatible blood bag, and save them before a mismatch causes a reaction. Based on Karl Landsteiner's Nobel Prize-winning discovery of the ABO groups, with companion guides on compatibility, the Rh factor and universal donors.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Gunjan. I built Blood Typing Game because blood typing is one of those topics that never quite clicks from a textbook. The ABO groups, antigens and antibodies, who can safely donate to whom. It finally makes sense when you actually do it.
So this is a small, hands-on game. A patient comes in needing blood. You run the Anti-A, Anti-B and Anti-Rh tests, read the reactions, work out their type, and pick a bag that's safe to give. Get it wrong and you see exactly why a mismatch is dangerous.
It's free and open source, with plain-English guides alongside it for compatibility, the Rh factor and universal donors. Handy for students, nursing and med folks, or anyone just curious how it all works.
Inspired by the 1930 Nobel Prize awarded to Karl Landsteiner for discovering blood groups. I'd love your feedback, and if you learn one new thing from it, that's a win 🙏
