Most AI tools guess intent from incomplete prompts. blocpad-cli feeds AI exact task context and turns work items into executable instructions across your coding tools. The result is faster output with fewer corrections.
👋 Hey Product Hunt!
We built blocpad-cli after repeatedly hitting the same issue while using Cursor, codex-cli, and claude-cli:
AI is powerful, but quality drops when tasks are reduced to one-line prompts.
What blocpad-cli does:
Turns existing project tasks into executable AI instructions
Feeds Cursor, codex-cli, and claude-cli full context—task title, description, comments, docs, and wikis
Removes the need to restate requirements or explain decisions
Keeps code, tasks, and execution state in sync
A real developer use case:
Your product lead creates a task like “Integrate Stripe subscriptions with trials, proration, and webhook handling.”
In Blocpad, that task already contains pricing rules, flow diagrams, edge cases, internal decisions, and references.
As a developer, you don’t rewrite any of this into a prompt—you simply tell Cursor to work on Task #1.
blocpad-cli fetches all related task data and feeds it to the AI, so the implementation is grounded in real requirements, not guesses.
Why it matters:
Prompting skips the most important part of engineering: shared context and decisions. blocpad-cli lets AI execute against the same source of truth your team already uses, increasing both quality and productivity.
🙏 If this reflects how your team works with AI, we’d really appreciate your support.
We’d love feedback—what’s the most complex task you’ve tried to hand off to AI so far?
Thanks for supporting the launch 🚀
The philosophy of no mid-project paywalls really resonates with me So many tools lure you in only to block important features midway through work BlocPad promising to avoid that feels like a breath of fresh air.
Hi @mihir_kanzariya, interesting project. I am trying to login to the CLI but getting the following error. Please let me know if I need to do something differently. I would to see how well it can fit into my workflow.
