I built Bitwell because of a personal experience that many Indians can relate to. A few years ago, I was working in Paris while my parents were living in India. One day, my mother fell on the stairs while she was alone at home. Thankfully, she was not seriously injured, but the incident left me with a question that I couldn't stop thinking about: "What if something happens to my parents and I don't find out in time?" Millions of Indians live away from their parents for work, studies, or opportunities abroad. While we can call every day, we can never truly know if our loved ones are safe when they're alone. That's the problem we're trying to solve with Bitwell. We started in September with a very basic MVP focused on giving families visibility into their parents' well-being. Since then, we've spent months talking to seniors, caregivers, and senior living facilities to understand their needs. Today, Bitwell has evolved into a screenless wearable designed specifically for older adults. It can detect falls and trigger alerts within 20 seconds, helping caregivers and family members respond faster when something goes wrong. Our vision goes beyond fall detection. We're building technology that can identify long-term health patterns and changes, helping families move from reacting to emergencies to preventing them. We're still early in the journey, but every step is driven by the same goal: giving families peace of mind when they can't be physically present with the people they care about most.
