Bimb
Chrome screen recorder that zooms in on every click
Bimb is a Chrome extension that records a tab, window or your screen and zooms in wherever you click, so demos look edited without editing. Trim, cut or speed up idle time, add a webcam bubble, blur sensitive areas, captions and arrows, then export MP4, WebM or GIF up to 1440p60. Works on Windows, macOS and Linux. No account to record, and recordings never leave your device. Free to record with auto-zoom; Pro is a one-time purchase, no subscription.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Sahil, the maker of Bimb.
I record a lot of short demos and bug-report videos, and the slow part was never recording, it was editing: adding zoom keyframes by hand so people can actually see what I clicked. The good auto-zoom recorders are desktop apps, mostly Mac-only, and I work on Linux. So I built one that lives in Chrome.
How it works: hit record (Alt+Shift+R), use your app normally, stop. Every click is already a smooth zoom. From there you can trim, cut or speed up idle time, add a webcam bubble, blur anything sensitive, and export MP4, WebM or GIF up to 1440p60.
A few things I cared about:
• Private: no account to record, and recordings never leave your device. Recording, editing and export all happen in your browser.
• Same on Windows, macOS, Linux and anywhere Chrome runs
• Non-destructive: the original recording is never touched, so you can re-do zooms anytime
• Free to record with auto-zoom. Pro is a one-time purchase, no subscription.
I'd love feedback on how the zoom feels (speed, easing) and anything that breaks on your sites. I'll be here all day answering questions!
