Bidfolio
The leaderboard where rank is the bid, drawn as a skyline
Bidfolio is a leaderboard for portfolios, products and side projects where rank is the bid and nothing else. $1 puts you on the board; a dollar more takes the place above you. You can't see the work from the list, just a name, one line and a favicon, because clicks are what a bid actually buys. Every month the board resets to $1, and the top 10 are frozen into a permanent Hall of Fame. No accounts, no algorithm, no votes. Listing is free if you'd rather start at the bottom and climb.

WHERE IT CAME FROM Jonathan Wilke's Outbid put the idea in my head: one slot, and you take it by paying more than whoever is holding it. What stopped me joining was the price. Once the standing bid is five figures, it is not a thing most people can pay.
So entry here is $1, and raises go up a dollar at a time. If a dollar is one too many you can list for free: you land in a section called "Also listed", under every paying row, with no rank number.
SEASONS: EVERYONE GOES BACK TO ZERO ON THE 1st The board is one calendar month. At 00:00 UTC on the 1st every bid stops counting, so #1 and the last free row both start the new season at zero, and the floor is $1 again. Get priced out this time and the next one opens with nobody holding the top.
One exception, for the people reading this: the first season runs to 1 October, not 1 September. Launching a week before a reset would have wiped every rank the launch brought in, so September starts seven days early. Every season after this one is a plain month.
THE HALL OF FAME When a month closes, the top 10 are frozen with the number it took to hold the spot, at a URL that never changes. That is what you keep after the board resets, along with a badge for your own site that shows your live rank.
ONE TOGGLE, TWO VIEWS The list has a skyline next to it. Every paying listing is a tower, the height is the bid, and the windows are lit in proportion to what was paid, so the free tier is the dark city behind. Towers slide and grow as bids land, so you watch an overtake happen.
WHY SHARING MATTERS HERE There are no accounts, so there is no address to email when somebody takes your place. The board moves when people post about it, which is why every listing comes with a share card, a one-click post and an embeddable badge. The traffic you send is the traffic the person above you paid for.

Who hunted Bidfolio?
Bidfolio was hunted by Sean Tiffonnet ▲. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
