The elo we calculate is solely based on European cup performance from roughly last 30 years. The league matches are not considered as different leagues have different dynamics as well as teams may perform differently in Europe versus their domestic league. We also consider home play advantage, consistency in European cups, the score of the match while calculating the elo and what is best is that the calculations are fully open-sourced in the methodology page so you can do the math yourself.
I built beyondELO because I love football statistics but always felt that existing elo rating sites looked a bit outdated and text-heavy. I wanted something more visual, interactive, and community-driven.
With beyondELO, we are going past traditional team rankings. We've introduced multi-dimensional elo systems (you can toggle between formulas like Glicko or FIFA, more to come) and expanded ratings to players, referees, and even users (developing yet)! You can also join prediction tournaments to earn your own community elo, and use live match statistics directly in our forums to back up your football debates.
