It integrates directly into the native UI of the GIF Picker, so you don't even feel the difference in the UX, it just works to serve you better GIFs! Better GIFs also brings back Tenor since its API shutdown, utilizing whitelisted API keys from the Google Apps
whatsapp and instagram use GIPHY by default for their GIFs, but the collection of GIFs there are bad.
If you are coming from something like Discord which used to use Tenor and now after Tenor API shutdown, Klipy, you might realize how much of a downgrade it is to use GIPHY.
At times its just hard to get what I am actually looking for
So I decided why not just bring back Tenor and Klipy there too, and there goes the Better GIFs
It just hooks into the native UI of whatsapp and instagram to add Tenor or Klipy based on the configurations, and now you can just use a better provider without even going to a different picker, it just works straight into the native UI
Since the Tenor API shutdown, Google has said that Tenor integration in Apps from Google will continue to work. This extension just utilizes the keys used in those apps to make the Tenor API work again.
