BeTeam
Sports predictions with friends. Without the gambling part.
Open a private league with your friends, predict match results before kickoff, and climb the leaderboard. The app does the boring stuff β scoring, locking predictions, organizing the table β so you can spend Saturday arguing about who actually called the match. π« Not a betting product. No deposits, no real money, no cash prizes. Ever. β iOS live Β· Android in review Β· 6 languages on day one Β· Football + basketball + Hockey
Hey PH π
I'm Ran, the maker of BeTeam.
Every year my friends and I run a sports prediction pool β World Cups, Champions League, the Israeli Premier League, NBA playoffs. For years we did it in a WhatsApp group + a Google Sheet someone volunteered to "manage." The sheet always broke by matchday 6. Someone always claimed they "called it." Half the group quietly stopped submitting by month 2.
So I built BeTeam: the same social ritual, properly organized. You create a private league, share a link in your group chat, everyone predicts before kickoff, the app handles scoring and the leaderboard automatically. The "commissioner" job disappears.
**The deliberate non-feature: no money. Anywhere. Ever.**
I made this call early because the moment cash enters a friends prediction league, two things happen β (1) people stop picking bold and converge on favorites, killing the fun, and (2) friendships strain over $40 prize pools. So BeTeam is explicitly *not* a betting / gambling product. No deposits, no withdrawals, no cash prizes. Just points, the table, and the screenshot you send to the group chat after the final whistle.
What's there today:

I'd love your feedback on:
1. The "no gambling" positioning β does it land or sound weird?
2. The onboarding when you create your first league (some people drop off at step 2)
3. The scoring math (1pt outcome / 2pt margin / 3pt exact score for football)
Happy to answer anything in the comments π

@ran_kopchovski World Cup 2026 readiness update ππ
BeTeam is built for private prediction leagues with friends, families, and office groups β without the gambling part.
For World Cup 2026, the core experience is focused on:
β’ Private leagues
β’ Match score predictions
β’ Predictions locked before kickoff
β’ Automatic scoring
β’ Live leaderboards
β’ Easy friend invites
β’ No deposits, no odds, no real-money betting
The goal is simple: make World Cup predictions feel social, lightweight, and fun β without turning it into a sportsbook.
@ran_kopchovski BeTeam supports World Cup-style prediction pools: private leagues, exact-score predictions, kickoff locking, automatic scoring, and leaderboards.
Long-time Superbru user here. Ran with the same group on it for 4 World Cups. Two honest questions:
1 Why would my group migrate when our 8-year history is already on Superbru?
2 Superbru struggles with anything outside Rugby/Cricket/Football. Does BeTeam handle American sports (NFL, NBA) properly, or is it Europe-focused?
Not trying to be hostile β genuinely curious about the value prop for a group already settled elsewhere.
Looks great but I'm always suspicious of "free" sports apps. Be straight with me β how does this make money long-term? If the plan is to add ads or sell my friend group's prediction data to a sportsbook, that's a hard no for me.
Also a sincere question β if there's no monetization plan, what stops this from disappearing in 12 months when you run out of runway? I've been burned by free apps shutting down before.
Football fan here. A few practical questions:
Does it support Champions League + Premier League + La Liga at the same time, or do I have to pick one?
Can I do "predict the final score" or just winner?
Sports prediction apps usually nail one league and then everything else feels half-baked. Curious where you actually focused.
Been waiting for this. Our group has been running an NBA playoffs pool every year on a Google Sheet and someone always messes up the formula by week 2. Tried it last week β the part that surprised me is how fast everyone actually submitted their picks. Usually half the group "forgets" until I chase them. The notifications nudge before kickoff is the small thing that actually changes the behavior.
Question for the maker β any plans for adding bonus rounds during the playoffs? Like elimination-style predictions on top of the regular ones?
Looks slick. Genuine question though β how is this different from just using one of the bookmaker apps with the "social" feature, or even something like Yahoo Pickem? Most people in my friend group already have a betting app installed. What's the pitch for switching?
