As a mechatronics engineer, I’ve experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to find a project that is actually worth building. There are thousands of experiment and project ideas online, but they’re often generic, repetitive, too difficult, too expensive, or simply don’t match what you’re interested in or what you have available.
That led me to build BestExperimentIdeas — a place where students, engineers, educators, and STEM enthusiasts can discover projects based on their interests, skills, education level, resources, and goals.
The idea evolved quite a bit while building it. I started with a simple idea generator, but quickly realized that generating ideas isn’t enough. The real value is helping someone find an idea they can actually understand, build, test, and learn from.
We’re still early, so this launch is an important step for us. I’m excited to hear what the Product Hunt community thinks and, more importantly, what we should improve next. 🔬⚙️
