I built Best Password Generator because I noticed a concerning trend: many online password tools either rely on predictable functions like `Math.random()` or, worse, send your generated passwords to a server. I wanted a solution where privacy isn't just a promise, but a technical guarantee.
The core problem I wanted to solve was making true cryptographic security accessible and 100% client-side. Our generator runs entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API. Absolutely nothing is ever logged, stored, or transmitted over a network.
As I worked on this launch, my approach evolved. I realized users don't just need a generic "random string"—they need passwords tailored to specific platforms. That's why I expanded the project to include dedicated tools (like generators specifically for Discord, WiFi, and Gmail) that respect those platforms' specific rules while maximizing entropy.
