I'm Oğuz. I've been building BenelOil solo for about a year.
The idea came from something that always bothered me about tycoon games: they hand you an empire and then you just watch numbers climb. I wanted the opposite - the first hour should make you do the job. So in BenelOil you pick the nozzle yourself, type in the amount, clean the windshield for a tip, and you watch a customer drive off when you're too slow. You earn the right to automate.
The part I'd actually like feedback on is the onboarding.
I added session measurement two weeks ago and the numbers were ugly: half the players never made it past the first minute. It took me a while to find why. A welcome card was opening on top of the game, and on phones its buttons were pushed off-screen entirely. Worse, the tutorial was silently broken - it waited for you to select your first car, but that card was blocking the selection, so it never started. Nobody had ever seen step 1.
Time from opening the page to actually touching the game went from 28 seconds to 8. The share of players getting past one minute doubled. I'm still not happy with it.
It's free, runs in the browser, no account needed, and it's in 7 languages (EN, TR, DE, FR, ES, PT, RU). There's an iOS build in review too.
If you try it, the thing I can't get from analytics is this: at what exact moment did you get bored or confused? That's what I'm after.
