BenchPing gives independent repair shops a lightweight way to manage repairs and keep customers informed—without adopting a heavy POS. Track every job, send email or SMS status updates, share private tracking pages, collect estimate approvals, add internal notes, attach repair photos, and see every customer touchpoint in one place. Shops can work directly in BenchPing or sync an existing Google Sheet or Excel workflow. The result: fewer “is it ready?” calls and more time at the bench.

Top comment

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built BenchPing after seeing how much time small repair shops lose answering the same question: “Is it ready yet?” Most shops don’t need another complex POS. They already have a spreadsheet or a simple workflow that works. What’s missing is a calm communication layer between the bench and the customer. BenchPing turns repair status changes into clear email or SMS updates and private tracking pages. It also handles estimate approvals, internal notes, repair photos, delivery history, and customer messages—without forcing a shop to rebuild its operation. The goal is simple: fewer interruption calls, clearer expectations, and more time doing the actual repair work. I’d love feedback from repair shop owners, makers, and anyone who has waited on a repair: what kind of update would make you stop reaching for the phone?

Who hunted BenchPing?

BenchPing was hunted by Sergii Kliuiev. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
