Every time we start with a new client at Enso DX, we run a performance report and a code audit before touching any code. About a year ago we added an AI visibility scan to that routine. We weren't sure how it would land. It turned out to be the report clients reacted to most, because it told them something concrete about where they stood instead of something arguable.
That scan started as a mess of different tests we ran by hand across client sites. Over time we curated it into a proper engine, now 200+ individual checks across AIO, AEO, GEO and CORE. We decided to stop keeping it internal.
Benchmarq is deliberately not a citation tracker. It doesn't tell you how often ChatGPT mentions your brand. It tells you whether AI can consume your content properly in the first place, which is the part that has to be true before any of the citation work matters. Content tools are the driver. This is the car.
What it checks: whether AI crawlers can reach and parse you, whether your structured data holds up, real measured Core Web Vitals rather than lab estimates, and whether an AI agent could actually complete a task or a purchase on your site. That last part, the agent and commerce protocol testing, is the piece almost nothing else covers yet.
