Bella and Pan
Helping kids practice math through a storybook adventure
Help children practice math as they guide Bella or Pan through three connected Chapters to bring Pebble Village’s missing toys home. Four difficulties span selected arithmetic from U.S. Kindergarten through 5th grade, from addition to division and order of operations. Correct answers move the story forward. Play offline on iPhone and iPad, with one purchase and no ads or in app purchases. Made by Brooklyn and her dad.
Bella and Pan helps children practice math through a story they can play.
Each correct answer moves Bella or Pan closer to bringing Pebble Village’s missing toys home. Children meet stuffed animal friends, help repair a bridge and sail across Goldtide Sea through three connected Chapters.
Four difficulties let families choose by skill and confidence:
1. Easy starts with addition, plus gentle subtraction in Kiko’s and Brooklyn’s challenges. 2. Medium adds subtraction and missing numbers. 3. Hard introduces multiplication and larger subtraction problems. 4. Expert includes multiplication facts through 12, exact division, parentheses and order of operations.
The questions grow more challenging within each difficulty. These are selected arithmetic skills from U.S. Kindergarten through 5th grade, and older children can revisit the foundations too. There’s no answer deadline. On regular questions, a wrong choice becomes unavailable and the child can try again without the answer being revealed.
One purchase includes the complete Adventure. It works offline, with no ads, in app purchases or account. Progress and scores stay on the device. The written interface and story are available in English, Spanish, Polish, German and French; audio stays in its original language.
The game began with my daughter Brooklyn’s drawings and our shared love of math. She draws the characters and makes up their stories. I build the game and add the math, then we play it together and work on what needs changing.
Parents and teachers, what would help you decide which difficulty fits your child?
